I currently using the looper as a return track to record audio from sends of VSTi tracks and any audio tracks of keyboards I'm recording to make loops on the fly, but this setup does not leave me the ability to create scenes and go back to them. I tried a setup in preferences with "start recording on scene launch to record" any midi data coming into the VSTi track, however it also records the audio tracks as clips because they are set to arm. I don't need that to happen because some of those tracks are also the live vocal tracks coming in, don't need to loop the vocals in the scenes.
Is there a way to keep Ableton from recording clips on the audio tracks but still allow it to only record the midi so I can create midi scenes on the fly?
If not I think this would be a useful feature for Ableton to add for the next version.
