Why reference Tracks volume peak higher than my track?

Post by Chris Park » Fri Mar 27, 2015 4:02 pm

Why reference Tracks volume peaking hiher in LIVE?

in my case, most of tech, techno reference tracks are peaking around 3~4. (if u put track just directly on audio channel)

but my track which mastered myself (with SSL BUS COMP, EQ, LIMITER) and converted to mp3 is peaking around 0~1

I always set limiter gain -0.1 and export and convert to mp3.

why this happen? i checked with loudness meter WLM.. but these track's loudness are not different. almost same.. 6~7

plz help me..
