Loop Selection in 9 WTF?
OK what the hell happened to being able to turn looping on and off??
Live 9.1.7 on OSX Yosemite, Command L turns loop selection on, but hitting it again does not turn it off like every other version of Live I've used?
Is this a bug I'm experiencing or is this the "new improved" way?

Re: Loop Selection in 9 WTF?
Why do developers do this? Is there a single advantage to taking functionality away from software??
No joke this is a total head scratcher to me. The only thing I can think is it's somehow related to some other function that they decided was more important?

Hi,
Not sure if this will help but if in Session View take a look at the look info (highlight loop so you get e/l/etc letters and open them up. It may be put somewhere else. Been a while since I toyed around in Live so....

Sorry, I thought I was clear, I'm talking about "Loop Selection" in Arrangement View. You can set a keyboard key to do the same thing, but the old command was "Command L", now that only turns it on, not off...

Just checked on 8.2.6. Same behaviour you describe there. So it appears it existed before version 9. Which version were you able to turn arrange loop off with CMD L ?
MacBook Pro M1, 16GB Ram, 1TB.

curious? I really don't rember it being a problem in 8? I've been using Live since version 3 so pretty much every version for years and years.. Going to get a hold of tech support on this.zeropoint wrote:Just checked on 8.2.6. Same behaviour you describe there. So it appears it existed before version 9. Re: Loop Selection in 9 WTF?
From the manual (Live 8), Cmd-L does "Loop Selection" which means the loop is set to the currently selected area.
Apparently there is no key command just for loop turning on/off.
