I want to create a drum rack that can contain two drum racks and fade between them using a macro. In theory, this is easy to do: Make the macro control the volume levels of the two inner racks and invert the range of one of them.
In practice, this strategy does not work well because the output level is much louder at the extremes than it is in the center. It would be nice to have the full range of volumes correspond to less than the full range of macro values, but I don't think there is any way to do that in a drum rack.
I want to use a drum rack rather than an instrument rack because otherwise, when I use Push to play this rack, it doesn't show its drum pad/sequencer display.
Any suggestions?
How to make a drum rack fade between two other drum racks?

Does this give you any ideas? Can you solve from here?

I figured out an easier way: Put two drum racks inside an instrument rack. Put the instrument rack inside a drum rack. Forward a macro from the outer drum rack to the instrument rack. Use that macro in the instrument rack to pan between the two inner drum racks.

How is that what you wanted?!
And when you already use an InstrumentRack to house the two DrumRacks, why not use the chain selector, with complementary volume ranges for both chains to have a real DRY/WET sort of fade?!
