I am a sound designer working in theater.
I have been working with Live since V4, but for music making - not sound design - when I worked in in film I used only Protools (industry standard) but now, because I am designing as well as acting board op I thought I would do everything in Live - and its great!
I am using Push for the show, and I am finding that the pad velocity in session mode is really sensitive - the sensitivity is great when I am making music, but for launching clips in a high energy show (there are over 46 sound cues for a 75 minute show). I have gone into user settings on Push and I still find it to be to sensitive. Is there a setting in Live that I am missing for clip launching??
Also, any other sound designers for theater working completely in Live from start to finish? Tell me about your set up.

Re: Push for live theater
there's this thread here:

John Zalewski (the last poster in the above thread) is a long time user of Live for theatre sound design.
i find the LaunchPad Mini buttons more user-friendly for cue-type launching. they are not easy to accidentally fire, and give positive feedback when you press them...
