the best MIDI controllers
hope this isn't too OT...
I'm gettin a new controller....
It's down to the UC33, BCR2000,BCF2000
What I wonder about the UC33 is how the faders work when opening a set and the levels are different than the fader location...does this cause a jump?
The BCR2000 can control the faders in LIVE right? And the position of the fader will be reflected by the little red lights right.
Not sure about the BCF2000, do the motorized faders work well with Live/ and I'm not sure there's enough knobs! Can anyone shed some light on how the encoders work....
Thanks for any replies/advice....

no audible latency... at least not for me...Livewire wrote:oh cool. and what about the latency of midi controllers? 5ms? 100ms? if i where to fade down an audio track really fast using a UC-33, would there be problematic amount of latency?
the only thing i've sometimes experienced is crackling when doing very fast filter tweaks on a high cpu load... but thats not the controllers fault.
that is very cool!Tails wrote:
And before anyone asks, it's not actually a Xone:92. It just happens to be inside a Xone:92 chassis; it's all MIDI.

Mawzer looks way too expensive, to me.[/img]
anyone have an old djm 500 laying around? with a few mods, those pieces of shit would make a good midibox case for a dj'ing controller!
The guy who made the Xone:92 lookalike actually ordered the knobs and the chassis from Allen & Heath as replacement parts. You could probably (?) do that with Pioneer as well, and use it as a housing for your Midibox.
Not sure if I want to try making a Midibox, but I'm starting to think I can't get a controller I'd like without doing so...
