I hope Ableton have something similar coming up.
This really makes me want to try Bitwig.

You can try any religion you want, you're just not allowed to talk about it on the Live forums.

Live isn't a religion?

Mr. Gerhard and Dennis look more like spiritual leaders to me.

I'd say it's Logic but no good religion would try to get so little money out of its "believers."

:x

In the beginning, DAW created the bleeps and the blips. The music was without rhythm and soul, and confusion was over the face of the geek. And the Spirit of DAW was hovering over the surface of the sound card.

And DAW said, “Let there be MIDI,” and there was MIDI. And DAW saw that MIDI was good. And DAW separated the MIDI from the synth. DAW called the audio analog, and the MIDI he called GM MIDI Wavetable. And there was a pattern and there was rhythm, the first day.

You will be glad to know that it doesn't really work with Ableton Live. Because Live doesn't have the required multinote features.

From the video teaser, Bitwig with a touch device has a bit of the goodness.

I know it wouldn't have multi aftertouch in Live, just like Push doesn't (even though the controller could! :x )

But this device looks like the Arrangement Push (minus knobs/faders/screen) I aways dreamed up.

Enough pads to play the keys on multiple tracks at the same time, a longish step sequencer etc.

And I agree, something like this with a surface pro and multi touch friendly Bitwig sounds absolutely awesome.
