forbidden signs when trying to put a wav file on windows 8.1

Post by Derek lj » Sun Oct 25, 2015 9:29 am

I have been trying to drag and drop wav files (acapellas) from my desk top in to ableton for a couple of days but I had the forbidden sign all of the time (black circle with a black line through the middle)
The way I managed to sort this problem out in the end was to drag and drop each wav file on my desk top in to the downloads folder which you will find in the ("THIS PC") where all of your "documents" "music" "pictures" videos" ETC are, and try to drag and drop them in to ableton from there, and low and behold I was no longer getting the forbidden sign and each file loaded with no problem.
I have now added the folder "downloads" on to the library on ableton for quick instalments of the wav files. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

It sounds weird, still.
It would be cool if you could report this to the support@ableton.com, so they can analyse this.
Thx
