Hi I was recording with a singer today - just piano and voice - I then thought the piano sounded a bit strange and then I noticed later that the Record quantisation was on.
I had already saved the recording by now. Is there anyway I can undo this back to un-quantised as it sounds very glitchy. It is showing nothing to undo - can I access an undo history once it is saved.
Hope anyone can help salvage this session - the takes were really good.
Any suggestions greatully acccepted
Best Richard

Re: Undo quantisation already recorded onto Live
Hello, were you recording the piano notes into MIDI clips / tracks or were you recording an audio recording of the piano?
If you were recording an audio recording, then try turning off "Warp" in the already recorded audio clip(s).
If you were recording MIDI notes, then I don't think there is a way to undo the quantize.

Unfortunately I was recording midi and I think you are right. Nothing can be done, I am used to logic where midi recording is non destructive until you chose to actually fix the quantise.
Thanks anyway for replying

Ah I see. Yes, in Live you have to turn off Quantize before recording - that way you'll be sure to get the original take.
And you are very welcome. Wish I had a solution though

Older versions of Live used to allow undo of rec quantize - not sure when they ditched that.
