Live 9.5

Post by chapelier fou » Mon Nov 02, 2015 8:46 am

Game changer.
Warp in simpler, one shot mode, etc.
Auto color of clips,
New level meters,
Cleaner waveforms,
Analog modeling filter.....

Push 2 coming as well.

Maybe a bit too much enthusiastic, but the simpler improvements are much more than just a cleaner look. And the new filters, that was really lacking before.
Installing !

Dropping 9.3 and 9.4 makes perfectly sense to me : new instruments introducing new workflow. And changes to the look.

This makes sense? 8O

For me 3 and 4 were always perfectly good numbers. I had no idea 5 was somehow special ;-)

And I start being happy when the warping comes to Sampler, you know their flagship sampler :x

being that this is a free update and only .5 , I believe Live 10 is going to be beyond exceptional.

Really happy so far. They should add a legato mode to the simpler so you can change the pitch while it's playing.
New filter are nice. Not incredible but nice.
Not found of the double level meters.
Color of track into clips and racks are nice.
Every old project i opened seemed as it should be.

Very nice update! 8)

Simpler is fun and creative yet simpler. Filters are lively. Color management was overdue and working great.

New track auto coloring is nice, but is there a way to set a track to 'no color' ?

I'm presuming the new filters are the same ones from Cytomic's The Drop. If so you guys are spoiled they are reguarded by many on many forums as the best analog modeled filters ever. They were modeled on the most famous synthesizer filters. I'm hoping Andy fills us in with some details. I also want to know if the new Max essentials synths use The Drop's filters.

I sat down with Gerhard and asked for warp mode in Simpler and Sampler about 7 or 8 years ago and he said it will never happen! I'm glad to see this is happening (yay).

Next up, I hope they add the ability to add hot keys/midi triggers to warp marker points.

I don't think Max essential synths use Drop filters. They sound like typical Max filters to me.
