I can't find info on this. Can't update yet cause I'm still on Xp. Hoping to update in January.

Kinda, it get the new filters + new waveform look but no time stretching and no big wave editor . It's kinda weird now that Simpler is more powerful than Sampler .

Yeh I'm a bit gutted about this.. having payed around 100 quid for it separately.. some extra stuff in sampler and multiple lfo's etc in operator would be great. here's hoping....

I would imagine that the Simpler update signals big changes coming to Sampler in Live 10.

I hope that they just wanted to already release what they have because of the new Bigwig, Akai & NI updates / products that were released recently. So, I'm thinking that maybe we'll get a proper Sampler update in something like Live 9.6. I really hope so because the new Simpler is simply amazing but I can already see it's limitations, for example you can't adjust volume & pitch for individual slices in slice mode and no multi-sampling in warp mode. Plus they could finally also implement the built-in sampling in the updated Sampler...

Yep, i'm now pretty hopeful re major updates of all the main instruments in future versions..
Bought a copy of The Drop recently and guessed correctly that those filters would be implemented into Live, though didn't expect that as a free update so it bodes well for a major overhaul in v10

+1, I would hope for 9.6

never understand why people are so eager for changes they want to come in full version updates, Id personally much prefer to get as much as I can out of free point updates than shelling out more cash

tbh giving simpler an update will probably be something they try to advertise in ableton standard sales over the holidays.

also, either big changes are coming for the sampler or the sampler just has a lot more overhaul so it will take more time to add modernize the rest of the stuff in it... just be glad they gave us this in 9.5 sheesh...

I have a feeling Sampler is going to be a beast, I'm not worried. Simpler will hold me over until it's released.

Simpler, Sampler, Operator, Autofilter got the MD filters added from Cytomic The Drop. No other dev makes better filters than these they are fully analog modelled.

Put simplers in Rack and let's call it new Sampler

But what I love most about Sampler is using its modulators on loop start and end points. Im a really big fan of the buzzy scrubby sound you can get doing that.

I feel confident in ableton for future updates honestly I think theyre saving sampler for later

with this update they added some pretty nice things and it is more than I expected of it when I found out

I hope they update more live instruments in the future
