I did a video on how the new Ableton 9.5 Simpler + warping is great for doing chords with vocal samples. Didn't have this tech before
New Simpler warping is awesome
Re: New Simpler warping is awesome
You could easily get the same effect with warped audio clips before the 9.5 update, but it's still really cool for those short samples and fast ;messing around'

No way you could play the clips that way, have envelope setting for them etc.thecld wrote:You could easily get the same effect with warped audio clips before the 9.5 update, but it's still really cool for those short samples and fast ;messing around'

No. Were you able to play a chord using clips and your keyboard?thecld wrote:Are you being sarcastic now?Fanu wrote:No way you could play the clips that way, have envelope setting for them etc.thecld wrote:You could easily get the same effect with warped audio clips before the 9.5 update, but it's still really cool for those short samples and fast ;messing around'

You can do something like that with audio clips but you have to duplicate that audio track and simply transpose your audio clips to create chords. Then you can use clip envelopes to draw transpose envelopes, etc. Unfortunately doing it this way you can't use your keyboard to play chords but you can create more complex envelopes, reverse certain parts of your audio clips, etc.
