Live 9.5 question
Live 9.5 question
A couple of the promo videos have someone record some audio in (either a break from vinyl or a couple of chords from a guitar) and then a button is pressed on push II and the audio clip appears inside a simpler. How does this happen? I've been lookin through the api and I can't work it out. Any knowledge/guesses out there?

I believe the function is called "convert" on the Push 2 videos I've seen. They make it look quite handy. Maybe check out the promo videos again? It's demonstrated in the following video also:

Re: Live 9.5 question
Wow, well spotted.
This is something that would change a lot of things in my workflow. I'd like to see what happens on the computer screen : does it create a new track or does it change the track's nature ?
Anyway, i want to do this without Push.
Abes ?

It creates a new track, at the moment you have to manually drag th clip to a simpler if you use the laptop interface.

Re: Live 9.5 question
Yeah... but because it's achieved through a button push on a class compliant usb 2 device, logically it's got to be somewhere in the api/implemented through the push remote script.Tarekith wrote:It creates a new track, at the moment you have to manually drag th clip to a simpler if you use the laptop interface.
The new simpler can have its waveform reversed by an api call BTW.
Re: Live 9.5 question
I have no idea how that works or if they will open it up in the future, just telling you how it is at the moment.
