Please keep the possibility to have all new clips recorded the same color.
I use it on stage to make the difference between clips that are part of the set and clips i just recorded..
Now it's too confusing to use it in a live situation.
What i don't understand is when you turn off auto-colouring and set a default color it only works for tracks but not for clips.

We need to have both:
1. set a default color for clips.
2. set a default color for tracks.

I will post this as a suggestion on the Live beta/Centercode site.

I wonder how it looks under the hood. I mean I wonder how the code is structured in Live. Maybe its more complicated providing an option then it looks, otherwise it seems rather odd that a developer would leave out an option. I would think that the way to resolve this is just include a "random" option in the color picker we see in the new version. That way the new functionality would be an "opt in" choice.

Also, I miss the "no color" option. It was very good for tracks I wasn't completely sure about yet.
I'm the same 100%... staying with an older version of live 9..

no colour until I'm happy with the idea. then colour it.
