VST's comparable to Ableton Sampler

Post by ab_user » Mon Nov 09, 2015 8:30 pm

Hello guys, I am upgrading to Ableton Standard. I would upgrade to the full version but Christmas is coming around, I am working less because of school, and my parents might get pissed if I spent that kind of money.

I figured there a great free vst's out there that could act as stand ins until I have enough to upgrade to suite. What are your recommendations on a sampler. Preferably free options. Thanks. :D

Windows has a full featured Sampler called Short Circuit. I believe it is freeware.

It probably won't have all of the realtime manipulation features of Sampler but it will basically be a sample player where you can load your own multisamples and it does a good job reading Soundfonts.

Short Circuit is definitely the best free vst sampler I've used.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like a miracle happened and I will be able to get the full version of Ableton.
