Efficiently Slicing/Splitting Audio Clips Into Equal Parts

Post by Static.something » Thu Dec 03, 2015 8:53 pm

Hello
I'm wondering if anyone knows of an efficient way to split a song into equal 1/4 note, 1/8 note, 1/X note slices as seen on track one in this project.

Currently I've just highlighted the area I want to split and used the shortcut Ctrl/Command+E.

However, I have 230 tracks I need split in this way, resulting in around 2000+ slices per track, so doing it by hand is giving me nightmares. Is there a way to script this, or maybe some clever use of follow actions? Anything to speed up the process would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: I'm not talking about using the slice to MIDI function, I need each track split into equal parts on the timeline in arrangement view.

Bumping this in case there is a solution… I have long clips I'd like to turn into multisample Samplers, but it requires splitting the clip at regular intervals (e.g. 1/4 notes) as shown here: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... th-Sampler
