I'm running Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 with Ableton Live 9 Suite and just purchased an Alesis ControlPad and despite hours and hours of googling and tinkering I can't get ANY midi signal whatsoever in Ableton. Not a blip. I tried setting it up via Mac's MIDI Studio, nothing. Tried using MIDI Monitor to pick up some kind of signal from the controller, nothing. I'm hoping I didn't buy a lemon but the controller lights up when I plug it in and the activity light blips when I hit it.
Any tips???
