If you guys want help with your logs, make sure you send them to support@ableton.com, they won't do any good just posted here in the forums. Thanks!

I had to deal with this problem for nearly a year (OS X Yosemite) and Ableton's support couldn't find out what was going on. Then I had contact with another user who had the same problem and we solved it for us without the support involved:

Before the messages disappeared, I had wiped my hard drive several times. Always with a clean install afterwards. The problem returned. The last time I forgot to install Melodyne Editor again. Suddenly the console messages were gone. The other user that I mentioned tried it too. Same result. Our computers are okay now.

One time I did a reinstall of the OS but copied my user account with the Migration Assistant. Without reinstalling Melodyne the problem came back. It seems that something in the OS X user account gets corrupted by Melodyne and the problem will return if Migration Assistant moves old user data to the newly installed OS X.

Not to Celemony. Ableton got informed from the other guy who still had an open support case when we found out.

Amazing work, florian_bl.
I have Melodyne too, so I guess this is a strong candidate.
witchbutter, I noticed that wasn't on your list of candidates. Did you miss it by any chance? (II have izotop too, but different versions)

I notice the entire celemony website is down at the moment in preparation for their new software version release. My guess is that the odds of them pushing a bugfix out any time soon are very low, hm?

Assuming it is melodyne, It would be nice to know what in fact Melodyne breaks so I can fix it manually without a complete rebuild; because I've rebuilt this computer a lot recently, and now I'm on tour to Indonesia and rebuilding it again is going to be a nightmare.

Hello
Glad I found this thread. I encounter the same flooding problem, and I have as Melodyne singletrack 2.1.2 installed

OK, my machine has been running Ableton Live for 30 minutes with no libxpc log flooding. I achieved this happy state by running the celemony melodyne 2.1.2 uninstaller, then rebooting. Then OSX claimed Ableton Live was corrupt, so I re-installed it. THEN I ran it, and it's still running fine.

Now, of course, I have no Melodyne Editor; but then I can't imagine Celemony fixing the 2011 version of the software, Melodyne 2, when they want to sell us the 2016 version, Melodyne 4, so I assume it was going to break anyway soon.

Anyway, my machine now works without need for a complete rebuild; apart from polyphonic pitch editing.

Does this also work for others?

I had Melodyne installed before and the craziest of behaviour in Ableton and a crazy log in "Console". I happened to reinstall my whole system last week and left Melodyne - don't use it any longer anyway. What can I say: Works nice and smooth!

okay, uninstalled Melodyne Editor 2 this morning and have had Live running for a couple of hours in the background. no Console errors! so it seems that Melodyne is the culprit...

hmmm, i wonder how this affects using Studio One, which also has Melodyne support?

Did this re-installation entail extra packs and fresh preferences as well? I wonder to what extent a re-installation of Live might have affected this issue of yours.
I've done 2 re-installations in the past 3 years, much needed at both times, and it has been very effective for the issues that I had, usually involving instability.

No, nothing special - I just copied the Live 9.5 App from the installer image, and the app plus all the live packs etc remained authorized.
I rebuilt the machine completely a couple of times in the last 3 months, and those times I had to reauthorize. Plus, those times didn't fix the problem either, presumably because I reinstalled Melodyne...

Has there been anyone whose libxpc.dylib flood has NOT been fixed by removing melodyne..?
I'm on ableton 9.6, removed melodyne and it still screams for help.. :(
