How to shut off audio when a MIDI note stops

Post by alexfsu » Thu Jan 14, 2016 5:25 pm

I tried gating audio of this track sidechained to itself but it's a brickwalled 808, not working. I see that you can sidechain MIDI with Corpus but I'm not getting anywhere, is there another plugin that sidechains MIDI but has an envelope? I thought of M4L MIDI enveloper but that would be before all these effects and doesn't work because the distortion leaves a big release. Thanks.

I think you'd need to describe it better.

What kind of audio, and why is it being shut off after a midi note release?

Did you try changing the 'Release' parameter? Or is there an fx tail also??

There is a max for live midi envelope. Dunno if that would help. Just turn the release down and it can control volumes. Keep in mind that it would act weird if you played two notes at once.
