Hi folks,
I wonder if anyone can help me on this? Every time I save something to desktop, even an appleworks doc, I am getting 2 folders automatically appearing - "original images" and "tiff images".
This NEVER used to happen, and I can't think of any preferences I would have changed to cause this. I'm running 10.3.8.
Any ideas???
Thanks for any help!

Hey Dirty, was it difficult to get a job there? Do they put you through any training? Whats the pay like?

You repaired permissions? Run Cocktail/Onyx etc? Disk Warrior? Sounds like all these could be worth doing. Also maybe back your important data up in case your directory's farked and about to die. (Not that I'm trying to panic you or anything hehehe)

It's not an Apple Store, it's just the local mac shop. But:
No.
Not yet.

Yeah, I've repaired permissions and run MacJanitor and it hasn't fixed it.
I'd like to sort this out without having to buy something like disk warrior if I can...
Thanks for all your replies, all.

Try posting this over on osxaudio.com and on the forums at

I've never seen this happen. Good luck.

Yeah, that's a good suggestion. I'm hoping it's just a preference I've changed somewhere...
Thanks anyway guys.

Everyone at the shop was equally convinced that this was the weirdest thing they've ever heard of, that it may be some kind of resource fork glitch and there's no way to fix it barring a reinstall of the OS.

Well, thanks for looking into it anyway.
I don't have any dodgy software, so I can't figure it out. I did have the demo of macaroni running around the same time - it's the only thing that comes to mind.
Thanks again, all...
