How to record a song?

Post by Drexciya » Wed Mar 23, 2016 1:32 pm

Please excuse me if this is a hidiously silly question but once I have recorded in a few audio tracks and I'm happy with what I hear, how do I proceed to actually record the song as a finished product?

i'm assuming you mean how do you print the project as one audio file?

File -> Export Audio/Video -> (choose your settings, most common standards are 44100 for sample rate and 16bit for bit depth. also make sure your "render length" and "render start" are correct) -> export

you'll also hear people mention this as "rendering" in ableton. ctrl+shift+R, I believe is the shortcut that'll bring up the same menu as mentioned in the above reply.
