I have Komplete Ultimate 10. Is Pianoteq going to bring anything new to the table? Worth a $350 starting point?

Depends: do you play piano a lot? if not then it won't bring anything new or different.

If you play a lot then you will take advantage of Pianoteq response, it is better than sampled based instruments, and some features as mic positioning are usefull for sound design.

But if you just use piano sounds for your tracks I think Ni pianos are good enough.

ANyway, Pianoteq hs a demo, you can try it.

Yes, as every piano sounds different. But if you like it or not is a matter of how you like it and how you use it, genre of music, solo or in a mix with other instruments. With AL9 Suite, NI10u pianos as a starting point, I would rather save the money and start working with the included instruments.
