High(er) CPU usage on an 4-core i7 with multicore option on

Post by Cuv » Fri Apr 15, 2016 10:46 pm

On a current project with a fair bit going on, using only native ableton instruments and FX, I have a high(er) CPU usage on an 4-core i7 with multicore option on (Win8 was possibly better).

Just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar.

Thanks in advance.

Just thought I should update on this ...

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and MS helpfully reset my Power Options to Balanced (throttling the CPU).

So after running Live with High Performance there and re-enabling multi-core support, all is well again :)
