Saving VST program doesn't save Parameter's List ?

Hi, i am not very used to VSTs, so maybe i'm missing the point.

I've got a VST (Analog Rytm from Elektron), i need to hit 'configure' and it adds parameters. So i thought i should make a 'template' of the VST with all the Parameters already in the list, ready for automation.
Saving VST programs won"t work. Do i need to make an instrument rack ?

After you've configured it, right click the VST device header and choose "Save as Default". No need to make a rack for this.
