Clearing Ableton VST Plugin Cache?

Post by aspen1135 » Fri May 27, 2016 8:47 am

So I have a problem with a VST that was previously working fine. I dont know what caused it but one day, after doing nothing out of the ordinary, my positive grid Bias FX plugin decided to stop working. In ableton there was a short error saying something about the resource files being corrupted or something and to reinstall the program. Well I did, and ableton's still not letting me use it. I opened another DAW, mixbus 3, to test if it was the VST or ableton and the VST worked fine in the other DAW. So I think I need to clear ableton's cache (without deleting all of my preferences and configurations preferably) and rescan my plugin list. Simply rescanning or reselecting the plugin folder does not work.

I have no idea where the plugin cache folder is and there's not too much info on it out there, as a lot of other VST related troubleshooting problems are usually case specific. Where can I locate this? I am on a windows 64 bit machine.
