Recording Roland TR-8 or Roland JD-XI using Ableton

Anyone know how to send audio with the TR-8 or JD-XI using just the USB cable instead of routing sound through an audio interface? The Aria series (TR-8) is know for sending audio without using audio cables and just using the USB cable. I've done it in another DAW, but can't figure it out with Ableton. So I was wondering if anyone out there has had any luck with doing this and if so, how? Thanks in advance.
