Loading Komplete 11/plug ins..
Good day, all
I'm currently running Live Suite 9.6.2 on a OS 10.10.5..
I had Native INstruments Komplete 9 installed and have been enjoying using absynth etc for the past few years.
I just bought and downloaded Komplete 11 and can't seem to access a lot of the new plug ins...
Like Reaktor 6 in particular.
I'm not seeing it in the Live browser. I"m still seeing reactor 9.
The new Kontak instruments seem to be working fine.
Can anyone offer some suggestions (or point me to an old post) as to how I should proceed to have all the new plug ins in Complete available for use. I have a feeling it has to do with where I've placed the folders.
Thanks in advance

I assume you mean Reaktor 5.9? If you've placed your VSTs in subfolders the old ones will likely stay there. There's an uninstall script on the NI site for 9 if the Komplete 11 can't handle it. Even so probably you have to take care of the plug-ins inside subfolders manually.marcusJmckenna wrote:reactor 9.

I tried and still nothing.
I've manually deleted reaktor 5.
Despite having downloaded komplete, I downloaded reaktor6 manually. Installed it. Nothing.
It's not showing up in live9's browser

I believe you have to run them in standalone mode once before the plug in versions will show up.

Its time they sorted out that requirement. Surely a simple programming change? Either that or place a repeated splash screen with the warning toTarekith wrote:I believe you have to run them in standalone mode once before the plug in versions will show up.
RUN IN STANDALONE MODE FIRST
How many times have people been tripped up by this step?

It will have installed them in a different vst directory by default - I went through it upon release. You have to find them and then use the NI VST move tool to put them in your own vst folder.

Sometimes people install in the wrong folder

That's very hard to do in OS X. In OS X you more or less have to make them go into the "wrong" directory. No directory is wrong if you and Live knows where they are.solidsilver wrote: Sometimes people install in the wrong folder
This seems to be a Windows-only problem.

Agreed. When I was on mac, it was stress free. Windows can be complicated.Stromkraft wrote:That's very hard to do in OS X. In OS X you more or less have to make them go into the "wrong" directory.
