Is there a way to disregard "Follow Action Time"?

Post by Razz CE » Sat Sep 03, 2016 2:44 pm

What I would like to do is set up clips to play in legato, playing the following clip from the same phase as the current clip (redundant, I know. but to hammer that point home...), immediately after the playing clip hits the end marker. This way I could set the end marker wherever I want and have an actual workable approximation of take comping.

It seems like you could do this with Legato + no launch quantization + follow action set to next clip. The problem is that the follow action time variable is screwing everything up. If it's set shorter than the duration of the clip, obviously the clip doesn't reach its end point. The next clip won't launch until the follow action time is satisfied, even if the previous clip ends sooner.

Any ideas?

No there is no way to disregard the time, it's fixed based on when the clip launched...

I think there's a (commercial) Max For Live solution for this, if you have that.

I would've recommended it myself as it's my device but it won't work with Legato mode i don't think...
