Editing the options.txt PC

[The_Subject]

I've frequently read on here about making edits to the operation of ableton, but writing in the options.txt.

Some of this stuff sounds really useful, but I keep searching for this elusive document and cannot find it.

Where does it come from?
How do I get there?
And, what format do I write things in it (although that last question may be redundant if it's obvious once I see it!)
