I have some samples of music and various movies that I have made and or ripped and when I load them into the Simpler, they become distorted. Some sections of the sample will almost echo itself. I have tried looking at all the adjustment knobs and the like and it doesn't seem to be anything that is on and triggering the unwanted effect...almost comes across as if its a processing glitch.
When I load the same samples into the Sampler, they seem to work just fine.
Any thoughts?

And if you convert Simpler to Sampler? Right-click in the device bar for this option.AliveAlone wrote: When I load the same samples into the Sampler, they seem to work just fine.

Re: Simpler distorting my samples?
in Live 9.5 and up, simpler seems to think that the user would like "loop" turned on for 90% of the samples dropped into it. Sampler doesn't.
anyway, turn loop off in simpler for the glitch issue

Re: Simpler distorting my samples?
The sample might be being 'warped'. Different kinds of warp have different types of artifacts.
You can either choose a warp algorithm that makes the sample sound cleaner if you need warping, or if warping is unnecessary then turn off Warp

Good point. My Simpler default is unwarped so didn't think of this.yur2die4 wrote:The sample might be being 'warped'. Different kinds of warp have different types of artifacts.

Maybe you have codec problems. Have you tried converting to another format and re-importing?
