X-Station

Post by ebenextra » Sat Jul 02, 2005 12:49 pm

Does anyone use Live with a Novation X-Station as their audio interface? I cant seem to setup my head phones in the output preferences. It seems like i only have one stereo output available, yet the x-station has 2, and should therefore be able to be setup that way...

Any help would be graet

Have you enabled both outputs in the 'preferences', 'audio', 'hardware setup' menu? That lets you set which outputs/inputs live uses.

Thats the prob. I only have a stereo chanel and 2 mono chanels available in the preferences tab. It should show 1\2 and 3\4 chanels, right, but only shows 1\2

From reading the manual, I believe that the headphone output on the X-Station is just a copy of the main out with a separate volume control, not a completely independent output.

It's also what I read. And the sp/dif out is only a duplicate of the master output.

Thats kinda crap. So if you cant use it for djing, unless you do it without being able to preview sounds...

Our specs say it has two tip-sleeve 1/4" outs, one SPDIF, USB, Midi, and one 1/4" stereo headphone out.

Yeah, it's not a good DJ interface. But it's a cool synth.
