Will we ever be able to export video in Live 64 bits?
Will we ever be able to export video in Live 64 bits?
2 years and a half, that I noticed that Live 64 bits can't export video. Ableton knows about it. They even explained to me why they couldn't do it, but I never thought it was a definitive answer!
I am tired of exporting the audio, importing audio and video in live 32 bits just to export video...
I just want to delete Live 32 bits from my computer!
Isn't there a codec that allows us to export video directly in Live 64 bits?
Thanks

Improving video support would be one good improvement area for Live10.

I just exported a H.264 1080P video from Live 9.7.1 64bit in OS X 10.11.6 so I think you might need to review your Quicktime installation.lapieuvre wrote:2 years and a half, that I noticed that Live 64 bits can't export video. Actually I would not like to use full HD video in Live, but rather use a low res copy of the same length, export audio and add that to an existing HD video in a real video editing application.
Unless I used native tools. Maybe that's what you mean? The inability to export video created with (Max For Live) tools inside Live? I don't think you can do that in 32bit Live either though, can you?

Re: Will we ever be able to export video in Live 64 bits?
Some videos are not shown properly in Live's video window.
I just compared 2 videos recorded with different devices. Both are shown normally without problems in their full resolution in QuickTime.
But when the low resolution version is shown in Live one of the videos flickers a lot.
Sometimes there is video, sometimes just grey background colour.
I tested in Windows7, 64bit Live 9.71. Quicktime version 7.7.9.

Which format exactly do these two videos have?

Re: Will we ever be able to export video in Live 64 bits?
I don't have 32bit Live installed.
My test files were all .mov files.
Now that I checked I noticed the flickering video was recorded at 60fps frame rate.
Yes, 30fps videos show correctly. These with higher fps flicker.

a better video import/export routine and workflows for film music maker would be very awesome in live 10

I just tried H.264... Didn't work here! I never ever was able to export a good video with Live 64 bits.Stromkraft wrote:

Live 9.7.1 64bit in Windows 10 64bit here, can export video just fine, after following the instructions in this page:
