Where can I get overdrive plug ins?
Re: Where can I get overdrive plug ins?
Try the waves ones. I tended to find them a bit fizzy myself but many use them. IIRC Line 6 have some VST stuff and there is the KVR forums for freebies.

You could try PositiveGrid's Bias Pedal software plugin, they have a promotion until tomorrow, 1/2/2017, where you can get it for free.Nerdflanders wrote:Where can I get overdrive plug ins?

Ableton Live browser > plug-ins. Drag it into the track where you want it.Nerdflanders wrote:So, is there a whole bank of effets that come standard with the Live9 lite that I don't know about?

To see all the effects that came with the version of Live that you have, you have to go to Browser / Audio Effects. The PositiveGrid BIAS Distortion pedal is an external plugin so you have to enable it and point Live to the folder where you installed the plugin. On Windows OS, you go to Preferences / File Folder / Plug-in Sources. Once you've done this, you go back to the Browser / Plugins / PositiveGrid and drop the BIAS Pedal plugin to your audio track. Hope this helps!Nerdflanders wrote:So, is there a whole bank of effets that come standard with the Live9 lite that I don't know about?

I have the BIAS pedal on my computer, I went to File/install pack but I can't seem to find it as an option.twistedkeys wrote:To see all the effects that came with the version of Live that you have, you have to go to Browser / Audio Effects. Re: Where can I get overdrive plug ins?
You need to tell Live what folder you installed the PositiveGrid Pedal plugin. You do this in Preferences / File Folder / Plugin Sources and click the browse button and look for folder where you have plugin installed. I think by default, it is installed in C:\Program Files\Steinberg folder. Once you do this, Live should be able to find it and you can drag it from Browser / Plugin to your audio track.Nerdflanders wrote: I have the BIAS pedal on my computer, I went to File/install pack but I can't seem to find it as an option.

Re: Where can I get overdrive plug ins?
Thanks.
will do.
I find all the effects tend to compress the sound of my Les Paul.
they make it sound like a junky guitar.
what am I missing here?

Yes, you need to register it. I have not played with the this plugin extensively, try using different presets in the plugin under its categories.Nerdflanders wrote:Okay I finally got it to work
