Amplitude 4 not showing up under plug-ins

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get Amplitude 4 to show up under Plug-ins. I've done all the usual tips etc on the interwebs (rescanning plug-ins, rescanning while holding down the ALT key) reinstalling, rebooting, custom folder etc etc etc. Nuthin'.

Oddly enough, Amplitude shows up automatically in Reaper, and other than this glitch, both Amplitude 4 and Ableton (I'm using Ableton Live 9) work flawlessly. I'm getting beautifully clean tones from my guitar with ridiculously low latency. If I could just get the Amplitude 4 plug-in to work...

I've posted over at the IK Multimedia forums as well, but no response as yet.

32bit or 64bit, you need the right version for it to be shown...

Both are 64-bit.Amplitude 4 is actually only 64-bit (no 32-bit available).

Have you turned off plug-ins in Preferences and back on again? That gives you a more thorough scan for some reason.

Yes, I have - numerous times. Also numerous re-installs, etc...

you probably already checked this, but did you install the vst2 version of amplitube, or only the vst3 version? reaper can read vst3, live can't.
probably not the issue, but maybe worth checking just to make sure.
