Recording MIDI CC - does it work ?

The setup is: Abelton Live -> midi out to Prophet 12, sending notes - i want to capture the controller tweaks i make on the synth, while the generated sequence is running.

I therefore created two tracks - one sending notes, and one just receiving the midi information.

Problem is: I know the synth is sending out CC values, its actually correctly configured in its global setting. I tested it also with NI Maschine, the CC´s are recorded there.

The midi clip recording only gets the mirrored notes, not the midi CC values from my knob turns.

Is there some midi filter setting in Abelton Live ?

Is Automation Arm active? Look it up in the manual if you don't know what it is.

Yes, the automation arm is ticked - i.e. the both small hollow dots near the arrow to the left.

Sounds like a workaround - but honestly live does not record straight midi CC ?

Now its gettign strange - i tested it with the sending midi clip - it sends now Midi CC 102 (LPF cutoff) , and the receiving clip now records the MIDI CC value.

But its not recording when i twist the knobs on the prophet 12 module itself.
