Clarett 4 Pre with Thunderbolt - PC w-7 not working

I just upgraded to the clarett 4 pre focusrite thunderbolt. I am on a PC, w-7 64 gb. z97 A motherboard, i7 core 4.0 gz..

I installed the thunderbolt2 pci card .this shit wasnt cheap either. Low and behold , nothing. I figure the drivers arent initiating but not sure how to get my to see the thunderbolt. suggestions please. I thought I read on Focusrite that w-7 was supported.... Focusrite control shows no device.

It says on Focusrite web that w-7 may work, however Ive not had any luck. Upgrading to w-10 was not my first priority but now I think I am being forced to do this, I tried updating my tb driver through the device manager and it did update but control still doesnt see my device. There is absolutely no info pertaining to this anywhere on the web. So if your on w-7 your shit out of luck to gain any possible knowledge or research. Does updating to w-10 wipe out everything ?

i think you are pretty brave choosing a Focusrite Thunderbolt interface for a Windows machine at this point in development...

You should have done a lot more research. I would not use a TB interface unless I had a Mac. Your motherboard, OS, will not make the best use of TB. I think it is a waste of money platform that will die even for Mac.

RME and MOTU still make great USB 2 units. If you get it working you will only get the same performance as a FW unit.
