1. I just downloaded latest version of Ableton Lite.
2. In System Device Manager is see Focusrite Audio, Scarlet Solo USB and USB Audio Root are up to date
3. I have installed the latest version of ASIO4ALL V2 and point to it via Preferences.
4. Ableton preferences: Driver: ASIO; Audio Device: ASIO4ALL v2; Input Config: 1&2 mono; Hardware: Realtek (512 Samples)
5. Keyboard line out to Focusrite instrument ("02") set to "line." I can hear keyboard through headphones and lights flicker on interface.
6. I then inserted 1 Audio Track -- Ext In: 2; Monitor: Auto; Audio to "Master"
7. Click "Arm" and strike keyboard keys.
8. Nothing . . . . . no input signal
I have been screwing around with this for two days. What am I missing?
No line input signal in Ableton Lite

I really had hoped that one of the forum members might take a stab at this question.

Re: No line input signal in Ableton Lite
The problem is your hardware selection in Live's preferences. Choose your Focusrite interface instead of your Realtek soundcard. The Scarlett audio interface takes the place of your internal sound card from now on.

Made suggested change -- still no audio in signal.
One additional piece of information -- Direct Monitor = "Off" no sound -- Direct Monitor = "On" sound

Re: No line input signal in Ableton Lite
Have you had a look at 'input -' and 'output config' and did your choice?
