Is there a particular reason that Gaiser and Recondite use an Apogee usb audio interface instead of the sound card that is part of their Xone K2 controller?
In one club scenario, I couldn't get the K2's soundcard to work with traktor, and I solved it another way. But I think this might have been a result of a bad cable.
I do not own a mixer so I can't test the K2's soundcard capabilities (in combination with Ableton).
I understand that there is likely a quality difference between Apogee and Xone, but that can't possibly be noticeable on a PA system/club environment to the extend that it warrants dragging another unit while touring.

I've read this topic about a club volume issue on AH forums, but it doesn't seem to be a widespread issue – and also, those forums seem quite dead:

Anyone on these here forums might understand their reasoning?
That might just prevent some disappointment on my end the next time I play out.

Re: Question for AH Xone K2 users
You probably won't find a good answer searching online. I know, i've searched a lot years ago.
I think the dynamic range of the audio interface inside K2 isn't up to par compared to more dedicated interfaces.
Have you played with it on a gig?

Thanks for that. No, I have not had a chance to field test it yet. It looks like there is not a lot written about this online indeed.
I'll see if I can find some specs on the dynamic range compared to the Apogee devices.
