Time signature issue

Post by aklisiewicz » Sat Feb 25, 2017 3:20 am

I need to setup the project for 3/3 signature (walts type) tempo. When I put on the top 3/4 I get very wired count. When I turn ON metronome it counts 1-2-3, 1-2-3, but after 2-3 phrases there is something that sounds like skip etc. which makes total confusion when trying to record anything. Now sure what am I doing wrong. I tried to enter 3/3 but Live is not taking it.

3/3 doesn't make sense, it simply doesn't exist.

3/4 should work perfectly. Maybe you've recorded some signature changes in the arrangement ? Or maybe, even more likely, you've got a loop in the arrangement that is engaged and that lasts something different than a whole number of bars.

Thanks for replying. Yes, I'm doing 3 count first time and I'm really not sure what else I ned to setup. Is this all to it to set time count on 3/4 ?
I remember even when recording new track (i.e simple piano) after 3-4 bars the metronome was adding extra tick in between. Something must be wrong. Is there any step by step instructions how to properly set it up ?

Maybe try 6/8. In essence the same thing as 3/4 but might feel different with the metronome.
