How to map chain selector to knob/button

I have a novation launchkey 49, and am trying to use the 16 pads at the top like a launchpad. but i cant figure out how to get the round button to change chain/page in ableton. i mapped it to a macro, and it says its waiting for a midi knob to be turned or key to be pressed, but im pressing the button but it doesnt recognize it. i even tried using a knob but that didnt work.

Help please?

If your controller correctly sends midi and Live correctly receives it ( there's a midi transmission indicator near the cup meter) then it' probably because you haven't set your midi preferences correctly. You need to activate "remote" for your controller in the midi preferences tab.
