New Ableton install and trying to configure the Steinberg UR44 USB Audio Interface..
In Audio panel of Ableton Preferences, I can see the Steinberg UR44 option in the dropdown menu but selecting the option causes the computer to think for a moment and then auto-select to "No Device."
What the heck?
Just ran through the UR44 install process, including firmware update.
This computer is 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3, OS X 10.9.5.
I'm running the UR44 successfully on an Air (1.6 GHz Intel Core Duo) so I don't imagine the processor is the issue?
Anybody out there seen this and solved it?
I'm also running this on a MacBook Pro - could this be Steinberg's (sneaky) way of telling me "too many instances?"
HELP?! Thanks in advance...

You only have one instance of the UR44, correct? 8)rexcasteel wrote: could this be Steinberg's (sneaky) way of telling me "too many instances?"
Can you choose this interface in System Audio on this machine?
