About "reversing" a whole song
I am trying to make a whole reverse version of a song, but i'd like to keep the drum sounds unreversed (just reverse the MIDI notes).
My first thought workflow would be :
1. Export the song without the drum track
2. Consolidate the drum track into one single MIDI clip, reverse the clip
3. Juxtapose the first export (reversed) with the reversed MIDI Drum Track.
The thing is, i've got a whole bunch of automations on the Drum Track.
So here's the question : is there a way to reverse automation ?
Any help ?

Or you could export the drum track to audio as well. Reverse that, then Slice to new MIDI track. Then go on that MIDI track Simpler -> Sampler and use the sample reverse in Sampler to bring all the one shots back to the original direction.
just an idea.
(And no, I have not heard of a way to reverse automation)

Re: About "reversing" a whole song
Well, that would mean, slice a whole song into a midi track, that would create as many drum rack slots as drum hits in the whole song. I don't even know if it's possible, but i certainly don't want to end up with thousands of samplers.
I'll try to recreate a mirror automation by starting with duplicating (horizontally) the song and go section by section from the center to the edges.

I don't get how the reverse function in MIDI clips works.
The help hint says it will take the center of the clip as a symmetry axis, but it just doesn't.

For instance, if there is an area without notes in the end of a clip, it ignores this area and then calculates the center. Same thing if there is a gap at the start.
The trick seems to be to add a dummy note in the end of the clip and another one at the start.
Did anyone ever struggled with that ?

Just a question:
Why are you reversing the whole song?

What did you do in the end? Your initial plan sounds like the way to go with the automation reversing done by hand?

I made the automation reversing by hand, but in the end i did not use it and used a fully reversed audio file instead, because i was not pleased with the result.

Seems like someone else just made exactly this : http://cdm.link/2017/05/watch-skinnerbo ... backwards/ But the binary drum pattern they use is much more convenient !
