Live 9.7.2 Export Audio messed up (FIXED)

Post by koranek » Mon Apr 24, 2017 12:36 am

I have a project that sounds like I want it, but when I export the audio, there is a glitch at the beginning of the wave file, like a loud pop, then a drop in volume for about a 16th note, then everything sounds right.

Exporting like always as Wave, 44.1 KHz, 24-bit, no dither

I tried exporting an older project and that seems OK.

Never had this problem before.

Any ideas?

I isolated the problem by exporting each track separately.

Everything was fine except for one track with a loop and 2CAudio's Kaleidoscope.

I checked the settings for Kaleidoscope and noticed that the offline defaults had a different sampling rate and a very big buffer.

I never remember touching these offline settings before, so my best guess is that Live ignored them in the past but might be using them now.

Anyway, I set the offline parameters to match the real-time ones and this time there was no glitches. Somehow these settings affected the whole rendering at the beginning of the file.

You learn something new everyday.
