Just to clarify, you can use Kontact in Live. Kontact will work as well in Live as in Digital Performer. And Live is a lot easier to work with than DP also.

Great. I was hoping they would work together. Now I can use the groovy features of Live and still be able to do some more fancy sampling stuff...having my cake and eating it too.

Thanks,

Chris

whats up man,

I noticed the same thing when I started using live, (simpler sucks for sampling). So I got kontakt 2 and use it as a vst in live. Kontakt is the shit, tons of features, great effects, easy interface and a 15gb library. Using that with live is a dangerous combo. Definetly check it out.

Thanks,

That settles it. I'll be keeping Live and I'll order Kontakt 2.

Thanks to everyone who helped,

Chris

Since you're about to buy Kontact, can I make a suggestion? Save up and buy Komplete, and get:

Absynth 2, Reaktor 4, B4 Organ, FM7, PRO-53, Kontakt 1.5, Komptakt, Intakt, Battery, Vokator and NI-Spektral Delay, plus the four outstanding sample libraries of Kontakt, Intakt, Kompakt and Battery.

I personally think anyone who would like 2 or more NI instruments should save up and get the deal, and you save lots and get a complete rig of virtual studio gear.

Check out http://www.xt-hq.com/ too. Energy XT has a nice sampler. Besides the sampler it has other features... arpegiator, midi- and audio sequencer, chords module, ... The whole thing is modular. So you can connect anything to anything. You can even use it as a standalone host. Best thing... It costs only 39 euro.

Yeah, sorry, I just copied and pasted from zzsounds or something. Point is, it's a good deal if you can use all the stuff it comes with.
