Issue with Modwheel automation.

Post by The_Black_Shrimp » Sat Oct 07, 2017 1:05 pm

Hello everyone !

It's been two days since I'm having an issue and I can't find anything on the internet about that exact issue so I will try to write it down here and hopefully someone can save my life.

Issue : In any plugin that is using the modwheel to change the sound (vibrato, volume, dynamics, whatever) Im having a serious annoying issue when recording :

After the recording is done, the knob is only picking up the automation from the moment it has been moved. Everything before brings the modulation value to zero.

So let's say I record strings and I want the dynamic knob to be at 50% when I start playing and slowly goes up. I will record exactly that. But once I stop and play back again and check the automation recorded, I will see that the dynamic knob has been moved all the ways down until I touched the wheel that was left at 50%, giving a suddent ultra annoying automation going from 0% to 50%... Once the modwheel or any other controller has been touched, the automation is perfecly recorded. But why in the world does it considere that it's all the way down until I touch it ?

I noticed that the dynamics knob is the only knob that doesn't appear in the automations in Ableton live like other kontakt buttons do (attack, release...)

Anyway, I hope someone understands the problem and can give me a fix, because it is absolutely impossible to record orchestra parts if every time the dynamics goes back to zero until I touch the modwheel.

Ma:cool:ny many thanks !

I double checked my KK keyboard setting and all seems to look god.
When I open the automation fropdwon list it shows however several instances of KK (not sure why) ?
