A song that you made or a song on a CD?

In Live 4: Convert the song to .waw format. Then just drag it to a track in Arrangement view. Warp it so you get the beats to match (there are numerous threads about that). Then you can just chop it into eg four bar measures by clicking the mouse and choosing Split. Lastly, consolidate each clip by selecting it and choosing consolidate. Now you can drag all your clips to Session view and start playing around with them.
