Ableton Live 10 Frame Grid and WASAPI?

Post by buckman » Tue Nov 28, 2017 11:17 am

Ableton Live 10 looking great, but just wanted to know (as I may have missed this) if it has the following features or upgrades to Live 9?

1. Can this record via WASAPI on Windows PC's so we can record 'what we hear' from the internal soundcard direct into Live 10?

2. Does Live 10 have any frame grids or frame rate 'nudge' with a key command for spotting items to video?

3. I see the editing has been upgraded slightly, with in-line reverse etc, but can it apply FX directly to the waveform? like Cubase can now, and the way Protools does with audiosuite, or indeed any Wave Editor?

Thanks for any help, on the bits i missed :)

1. I dont think so (i'm not on windows) but you can use Virtual Audio Cable https://www.vb-audio.com/Cable/ to do that (or use the resampling input if you just want to record the master)
2. Not sure if it's what you're referring to but you can nudge clips and the playhead on the grid with the arrow keys
3. no
