Ableton Suite Upgrade 9 -> 10
I have Ableton Live 9 Suite. To upgrade to Live 10 Suite it is $239.
To upgrade to Live 10 standard it is $229. WTF?
I don't need the "new" stuff in Suite, just the standard upgrade.
(It does say "coming soon", whatever THAT means...)

I was referring to the $10 price difference.

"Upgrading" to Standard would in reality be a huge downgrade from what you have now (no Operator, no Sampler, no M4L, etc.). Why would you want to pay any money to do that? The difference is only $10 because they want to encourage you to upgrade to Suite and discourage you from downgrading to Standard. Basically, they are helping you avoid making a terrible decision.

Re: Ableton Suite Upgrade 9 -> 10
I would keep my ver 9 Suite and install ver 10 standard in a different folder
(not replace) if there were a large price differential.
That said, I'll spring for ver. 10 Suite just on general principle to support Ableton, although I don't need 1/100th of the upgrade in the new version, since Ableton has been my goto for years....

If you update from suite to standard you keep the effects and instruments from Suite, you just don't get the new ones.

That's actually what I thought. I would expect a lot more than a $10 price differential.login wrote:TheWholeDamnZoo wrote:"Upgrading" to Standard would in reality be a huge downgrade from what you have now (no Operator, no Sampler, no M4L, etc.). I do not need an "integrated" version of Max 4 Live..... or any more amp models, for that matter....
