gated reverb w/sidechain

Post by twentysevenfourmusic » Sun Dec 17, 2017 3:30 am

I know that gated reverb has been discussed before but what i'm trying to do is make the reverb shut off when a specific note is played, if that makes sense.
somewhere, somewhere (check out my music: soundcloud.com/twentysevenfour)

That's still a bit unspecific. You need to either use a gate with MIDI side-chain input (assuming there is MIDI in connection to this instrument) and some means to filter out just that MIDI event, or alternatively an audio signal that can be filtered so effectively only that note will trigger the gate SC input.

the hardwired, inflexible way to just get this done could be to engage IAC or your equivalent internal midi listener, and assign that note to the speaker icon of the source audio
