When I import a video .mpg made with the iPad into Ableton live, the shows up as a clip in Session and a track in Arrangement. Is it then possible to create another track and overdub audio (e.g., voiceover for instructional video) without touching the session/arrangement track so the original video and sound are still synced?
(and, of course, then exporting the result to a new (video) file with all audio tracks mixed....)
If anyone had done this, I'd appreciate a (correct) answer, since I finally find the correct one, but only after I have tried all the possible wrong ones....

Re: Video Question
Maybe I'm missing something, but simply create a new track and record what you need on this one...

That's what I think, too, but has anyone actually done it?[jur] wrote:Maybe I'm missing something, but simply create a new track and record what you need on this one...
